There is no cure for Fibromyalgia although there are treatments available through physicians and clinics to aid those who have Fibromyalgia. Many chronic fatigue and chronic pain centers also offer varying degrees of treatments also that are geared more to the individual patient rather than the illness.
Is there an approved cure for fibromyalgia?

Not only is there no cure, It is a very controversial diagnosis. Patients complain of pain, and if the doctor cannot find a source, often that diagnosis is used. Many of us in the medical community believe it is overused. The appropriate treatment is considered to be anti-imflammatories like motrin, and sometimes steroids. Narcotic pain medicines are not recommended, because they do not work better, and have many more side effects.

I don't believe there is a cure. I've been told that you need at least 8 hours of sleep, a good nutritious diet and as little stress as possible. Many doctors don't believe it's a disease at all which, for anyone with it, is a real joke. It's very real. I finally found a doctor who instead of giving me pain pills told me mine was tied in with Lyme disease. I have been on a very specialized diet and alot of supplements. It has helped greatly.

My mom has had it for 10 years. No cure. She has found that swimming and visiting a chiropractor helps. She's done lots of research and tried many things… this is what has given her the best results. She also takes mild muscle relaxers before bed.
